Food Diary: First half of 2014

Hey hi! Going through my posts, I've come to realize that I have not posted anything life related since 2013!! I guess it was down too me getting caught up with uni work (oh yeah, I made it and am graduating so yay!) and not being able to do anything too interesting that's blog-worthy. I've eaten out a few times during those stressful days, taken shots here and there on my phone so today I'm going to share these pictures with you all! My phone is in desperate need of a clear up so I hope you guys don't mind me taking a break from reviewing. Enjoy and don't get too hungry :)

:: 15th January :: The Black Bean ::

My late birthday meal with my besties. Not sure if I've written about The Black Bean yet on my blog but we seem to always go there for dim sum whenever I visit London. What can I say...it's yummy and good value for money. If you're ever in China Town you should check it out!

:: 14th April :: Zizzi ::

I think this was a spontaneous meal with the boyfriend to get away from uni stresses. I also remember craving lasagne that day haha!! Zizzi is a fairly big chain of Italian Restaurants judging by the amount of Zizzis I see when I travel round the UK. It's nice, pretty pricey but you can usually find coupon codes online to get some money off your bill.

:: 24th April (Lunch Time) :: Bone Daddies ::

Down in London again for a belated celebration of one of my best friends' birthday. As much as I wanted to, I didn't wear the bib in the end because I was the only one in the restaurant that put it on. I'd probably embarrass my friends even more if I kept it on paha! None of us had been to Bone Daddies before and despite hearing all the hype about it from others, we only though it was OK. The decor was cool but the ramen was meh for the price. Don't think we'll be returning...

:: 24th April (Dinner Time) :: Hi Sushi ::

 As cool as the Japanese-style tables were (apparently it's called "horigotatsu" after quickly googling the word for it...correct me if I'm wrong ^^"), it was pretty hard to get out of when it was time to leave because the tables were so close together. Maybe it was because it was my first time dining at a horigotatsu style restaurant so I wasn't used to it. I don't remember anything bad or amazing about the food so I guess it was good. What I do remember is that apparently there's an all-you-can-eat buffet meal at lunch so I might pay Hi Sushi a second visit during lunch hours.

:: 24th April (Dessert Time) :: Snog ::

Is eating all we do when I'm with my friends? Pretty much!! We love food so much lol. Past this frogurt dessert parlour and went in because I've never eaten at a frogurt place before. Ahh it was so good! I had a healthy mango frogurt with fruit slices but I think if I was to go again I may not pick an as healthy option hehee

:: 23rd May :: Papaya Thai ::

Decided to go to this new Thai restaurant with my boyfriend after the private viewing of my degree show. The food was on the more expensive side but it was sooooo good! I remember ordering pork and it was so tender, just how I like it! I probably would revisit this place for a special occasion if I wasn't moving home uni.

:: 3rd June (Lunch Time) :: Nando's ::

When my friends came to visit me and see my exhibition. I've eaten at Nando's quite a lot so I only took a picture of this new drink they've got. Isn't the packaging cute?!

:: 3rd June (Dessert Time) :: Heavenly Desserts ::

I've actually blogged about this place before. Twice! Cake, cream and calories. Yummyyyyy!

:: 3rd June (Cocktail Time) :; Lola Lo ::

Because we had a pretty late lunch, instead of having dinner at a restaurant we decided to go to this new bar that had opened in town. I wish I took more pictures because the decor made me feel like I was really in a tiki bar in Hawaii minus the sand and sunshine. Cocktail's were half price too so BOOM!

Hope you enjoyed the photos and my mini reviews. Are you a foodie too?
Blog to you soon c:
